Not a lot of good can be said about a computer that was made with the goal of being the thinnest. Would you really buy a computer because it is the thinnest made to date? I would sacrifice and get a few extra centimeters for a cd/dvd drive.
It depends. I, for instance, would a super slim laptop in a heart beat. A thin computer is pretty much a god sent when I think about it. I have always hated most laptops because they are heavy. When you spend your time doing demos day and night, and traveling like mad: weight is one thing you do not want to deal with. However I would not buy the Air: overpriced. I am incredibly happy though because this is going to kick off a new trend for laptop producer: thin is the next thing. I still have a slim vaio (broken now) that I keep dreaming of repairing. I say strip everything out. But that’s just me.
I would, I don’t like heavy stuff.
…assuming I ever bought computers that is! My laptop is some 500MHz Vaio that work threw out in 2002
Couldn’t agree more. As usual with Apple, it’s form over function. And massively overpriced for such a low-spec underpowered machine.
