Thanks for the input.

Yes, we want to appeal to the community, but since this is JBoss we still need the corporate appeal.

I will pass the msg on though!

Nice to see what you've been up to!

My initial impression is that the site probably needs a different focus if it's to appeal to a community of developers (which I presume is your intention). It currently reads to me like a marketing campaign to sell me a product, rather than trying to get me involved in developing it. I think making it clear how to get the code, play around with the tool(s) and get involved right on the front page would help (even if that's just links to other parts of the site). If you remember the wiki page you did for IcedTea, that went straight to the guts of how to download and build. I think something more direct like that would help if you're intending to target developers rather than corporate end users with this site.

I'd also drop the comma after 'community' in your title (which I like very much btw).

Hope that helps, and all the best with the project :)

Hey Lillian,

Hope everything works out for you with the new job. Give 'em hell! :)

We'll miss you, especially at FOSDEM. Seems the JBoss schedule is pretty quiet: http://archive.fosdem.org/2008/schedule/tracks/jboss and googling for 'fosdem jboss' already shows up Mario's comment on here.

Have fun! :) x

Thank you for all the hard work you've put into making it all happen, and the many releases, and for the great FOSDEM moments, too. I am looking forward to see you rock the JBoss world!

Wow. Change is almost always good, congratulations! But not going to FOSDEM is not an option. Sorry, you are not allowed to (not) do that! ;-)
